  • How many credits should law students collect?
    • 1st grade students are asked to collect 30 credits:
      • Natural science – 3 credits
      • Humanity
      • Social science – 3 credits
      • Education –
      • Research method –
      • Speaking & Writing skill
      • English & other languages  - 6 credits
      • Physical studies and health and safety – 3 credit
  • Can students take more than 30 credits?
    • Yes, If students take more than 30 credits, the credits will be written in the diploma.
  • How many credits can be selected per semester?
    • Per semester, students cannot take fewer than 12 or higher than 21 credits. It is advisable that students take 15 to 18 credits per semester.
  • Can law students not to take courses from a particular field such as natural science etc? Will the extra credits obtained be transferred to other fields?
    • No, law students are required to take credits that are assigned to the field of study..
  • Are any of the general education courses compulsory?
    • No, School of Law offers two general education courses, namely Introduction to Law and Human Right, but they are selective courses.
  • Can I still apply for additional seats when the course registration is full? Where can I submit my request?
    • For the 1st year students, additional seats are not allowed.  If the class is full, students may requrest to take the class for the next semester.
    • Second year students may submit his/her request to the staff in charge of the program,  technology and the head of the Academic affairs department. .
  • How can I pay the tuition?
    • The payment can be made as follows:
      • Online payment using domestic visa card.
      • Paybill or via bank transfer
  • Can I cancel my selection after I have already confirmed my registration to the course?
    • Yes, if the student cancels before taking 30 percent of the scheduled classes, 70 percent of the credit fee will be transferred to the next semester. The university cannot refund if the student attended more than 30 percent of the course. 
  • Can law students be transferred to other schools within NUM?
    • Yes. Students, who obtained 2.8 GPA, collected 12 credits per semester, and taken successful higher education General Admission Test, may  submit his/ her request to www.Shiljilt.num.edu.mn between January 1 – 15 and July 15 to August 15. General Admission Test can be taken in the respected schools.
  • When can students register for courses?
    • Students can submit the request for the next semester within 13th and 14th weeks of the academic year.
  • How can students apply for leave?
    • For a leave longer than 3 weeks, students should apply for a semester leave to Students affairs office.
  • What types of documents are required for student loan from State Fund?
    • Students with General Entrance Exam scores are higher than 600  points and 2.8 GPA may apply for student load if following conditions are met:
      • half orphan
    • children from herder households
    • children from  low income family.
  • Information for those seeking financial aid?
    • Those who are orphan, disabled or whose parents are disabled may apply for financial aid.
    • Required documents for application:
      • Request (hand written)
      • Copy of certificate
      • Notarized copy of immovable property
      • Letter from the residential administration
      • Copy of the national identification card
      • Transcript
  •  Minor and Double Major
    • Students may apply for minor and double major if they fulfill the requirements. They should apply within the first two weeks of April and in November.
